Reactive dyes for living cells: Applications, artefacts, and some comparisons with textile dyeing

چکیده

An inclusive chemical definition of “reactive” dyeing textiles is introduced, encompassing the CI Azoic, Mordant, Reactive, Sulphur and Vat dye application classes. Such reactive increases fibre retention makes practically possible. The analogous dyes fluorescent probes as microscopic stains in biology medicine outlined, focussing on using with living cells. Parallels textile are noted, eg, enhanced probe facilitation application. However, primary purpose live cells detection properties biological systems: to identify structures chemical/biochemical contents; assess functions physicochemical properties; determine changes locations cell components. Problems occurring such particularly problematic character many standard protocols, localisation artefacts arising whose reactant product species physiochemically significantly different. This latter problem explored via a case study possible reactant/product for oxygen species. Comparison experimental observations localisations predicted quantitative structure activity (QSAR) modelling indicates that can occur significant proportion chemically diverse, widely used, commercially available probes, well compounds reported literature. A graphical flowchart provided occurrence localising various organelles

Dyeing of Indian wool with reactive dyes

Wool fibres have been chemically modified by reduction I chlorination under acidic pH Ipre-swelling in conc. formic acid prior to their dyeing with indigenous reactive dyes of different molecular configurations to enhance the reactive dye uptake on wool fibre substrate. The pretreatment processes are inexpensive, less harmful and less time consuming as against the use of imported special wool r...

Dyeing of Polyester with Disperse Dyes: Part 2. Synthesis and Dyeing Characteristics of Some Azo Disperse Dyes for Polyester Fabrics.

The goal of this study was to utilize carrier for accelerating the rate of dyeing not only to enhance dyeing of polyester fabrics dyed with disperse dyes 3a,b, but also to save energy. Both the color strength expressed as dye uptake and the fastness properties of the dyed fabrics were evaluated.

Octane-Assisted Reverse Micellar Dyeing of Cotton with Reactive Dyes

In this study, we investigated the computer colour matching (CCM) of cotton fabrics dyed with reactive dye using the octane-assisted reverse micellar approach. The aim of this study is to evaluate the colour quality and compare the accuracy between CCM forecasting and simulated dyeing produced by conventional water-based dyeing and octane-assisted reverse micellar dyeing. First, the calibration...

Eco-friendly Dyeing of Viscose Fabric with Reactive Dyes

Water-soluble polymers have versatile applications but they are hardly used in wet processing of cellulosic substrates (cotton, viscose, jute, etc.), particularly in dyeing. In this paper, one such water-soluble polymer, polyacrylic acid has been synthesized, characterized and applied to viscose fabric in conjunction with various types of reactive dyes, namely triazinyl, vinyl sulphone, high ex...

Dyeing with Disperse Dyes

Before the First World War, almost all dyes were applied from solution in an aqueous dyebath to substrates such as cotton, wool, silk and other natural fibres. However, the introduction of a man-made fibre, cellulose acetate, with its inherent hydrophobic nature, created a situation where very few of the available dyes had affinity for the new fibre. Water-soluble anionic dyes had little substa...
